ExSys Student Design Finalists Announced

The Experiential Design Authority is excited to announce the finalists in the Best Student Design category of its ExSys Awards competition, honoring excellence in system-based exhibit design and execution. Students from Bemidji State University’s Exhibit & Experience Design undergraduate program and the Fashion Institute of Technology’s Exhibition & Experience Design master’s program were provided complimentary entries into the inaugural competition.

Exhibits designed by students and/or interns in the past three years using pre-fabricated system components were eligible, with a panel of industry experts evaluating each entry based on the following criteria: Concept & Design, Creativity & Innovation, Graphics & Messaging, Attraction & Immersion, and Overall Impact. The three highest-scoring entries will receive gold, silver, and bronze awards, respectively, at an event hosted by Exhibit City News in Chicago on June 20.

“Part of TEDA’s mission is to support the next generation of experiential design professionals through scholarships, internship stipends, and student competitions like this, and this year’s entrants truly impressed judges with their creativity, innovation, and unique perspective on the future of our industry,” said Travis Stanton, Executive Director of The Experiential Design Authority. Each student finalist will be offered a $200 travel voucher from TEDA and ECN to attend the awards ceremony in Chicago, and the Gold Award winner will receive a $500 cash prize courtesy of The Experiential Design Authority.
